OFFICIAL JURY

Timing for the event will be conducted using an electronic timing system.

The route will be officially timed and will determine the final overall ranking.

Additionally:

Cyclists will be timed on the climb zone as previously mentioned, which will contribute to the Best Climber classification.

The sprint zone, also previously mentioned, will be timed and contribute to the Best Sprinter classification.

Feed/water stations will be positioned along the route and after the finish line for all participants.

These stations are detailed in the Athlete Guide and Technical Briefing but may be subject to change for safety reasons.

The Race Cut-Off: 7,5 h

The Ride Cut-Off: 5 h

Also the cut-off time will be announced in the Athlete Guide and Technical Briefing in the coming weeks and may be adjusted if deemed necessary for safety.

Any participant who exceeds this official cut-off time, even if they reach the finish line, will be disqualified.

All official results will be published on the event's official website.

After the sweep vehicle passes the final rider, all participants still on the course continue at their own risk and must comply fully with traffic laws and the Greek Highway Code.

GENERAL SERVICES

Event safety is coordinated by the operational team of euZHN feelosophy in collaboration with local support teams, including police and medical personnel.

The organizers reserve the right to exclude any participant for medical reasons.

In such cases, the Organizer will not be held liable for participants who are unable to finish the race due to a medical disqualification.

ACCESS TO THE SITE AND SECURITY

It is strictly forbidden to bring dangerous or illegal items to the event site, including (but not limited to) drugs, firearms, sharp weapons, or explosives.

To access the venue and participate, each participant acknowledges and agrees that the Organizer may authorize security personnel to inspect individuals and their belongings.

Entry will only be permitted to those who comply with the security check.

Anyone refusing inspection will not be allowed access.

Security personnel and the Organizer reserve the right to deny access or exclude participants if their behavior:

May disrupt the event

Involves using items that could endanger others or impede the race

Includes political, philosophical, or religious messaging that could harm the event's image

Is deemed inappropriate, abnormal, or immoral (e.g., being under the influence of alcohol or drugs)

The Organizer will implement safety measures, including:

  • Course signage
  • Route marshals on motorcycles with flags indicating danger zones
  • Signs marking hazardous areas or segments requiring extra attention
  • Accompanying persons and spectators are not allowed within the race course.

Violation of this rule, including an unauthorized person entering the course, may result in disqualification of the associated athlete.

All safety measures end at the Finish Line.

TIMING

All participants will receive two race numbers, one of which will contain the timing chip, to be placed on the bike’s handlebars — DO NOT FOLD IT.

Chips will be automatically activated at the start line and will track progress through detection antennas along the course and at the finish line.

Timing chips must be placed exactly as described in the Athlete Guide and Technical Briefing.

Participants who:

Do not follow the official route,

Receive unauthorized assistance (from people or vehicles),

Or cross the finish line without their electronic chip,

will not be officially recorded in the results.

The electronic timing system has been selected to meet high standards of reliability, but despite thorough testing, a very small risk of chip misreading or failure remains.

If no data is recorded due to technical error, the Organizer may be unable to display an official or real-time result for that participant, and will not be held liable for the issue.

WITHDRAWALS AND TIME LIMITS

Athletes who wish to withdraw from the event before race day are subject to the following cancellation fees, which they acknowledge and accept upon registration:

90+ days before the event 20% cancellation fee

89–60 days before the event 50% cancellation fee

59–15 days before the event 80% cancellation fee

14–0 days before the event 100% cancellation fee

If a participant wishes to withdraw during the race, for any reason other than injury, they must do so, if possible, at one of the designated support points set by the Organizer.

The participant must locate the race official at that location, who will then officially cancel the participant’s race number

Return transportation for both participants and their bicycles will be available at these points.

To ensure the safety of all participants and allow for the scheduled reopening of roads to vehicular traffic, it is essential that athletes do not exceed the official race time limits.

Start time will be at 08:30 for the The Race and at 08:45 for The Ride and cut off limits will be 7,5 hours for The Race and 5 hours for The Ride.

After the time limit expires, athletes may continue at their own risk, as roads will be reopened to traffic.

The Organizer reserves the right to change the start time or route in consultation with police authorities, should it be necessary for athlete safety.

Use of mobile devices while cycling is strictly prohibited. Athletes caught using phones while riding will be disqualified.

The medical team—composed of doctors and first aid staff—reserves the right to disqualify any participant for medical reasons.
