The Race 138 km through the Land of Warriors and Legends

In the 4th Edition of L’Étape Greece by Tour de France, cyclists will experience a brand new chapter in a mythical setting, Sparta, the historic city of warriors. The Race, the Great Challenge, features a challenging one-loop route of 138 kilometers with 1,860 meters of elevation gain, promising a fierce and unforgettable Tour de France style adventure.

Starting and Finishing in the heart of Sparta, at the central square where the iconic statue of Leonidas stands proudly, this demanding circuit takes cyclists through some of the most iconic landscapes in Peloponnese. With closed roads, professional race support, technical assistance, and well-placed feed and aid stations, riders will feel the full thrill of a world-class cycling event.

The route winds through ancient paths, mountain villages, olive groves, and forested hillsides, offering sweeping views and an immersive connection to Greek history and nature. Riders will also compete in Climbing Sprint and Flat Sprint segments, pushing themselves to the limit in the pursuit of glory.

At the Finish Line, the legends of the day will be crowned with awards for overall winners, KOM and Sprint champions, and age group victors in a celebratory ceremony that honors the spirit of competition and heritage.
